AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also adds the game's latest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
