The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, however can the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, readers and a range of guests.
In week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' latest album, the new release, is out on Friday.
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.
"I won't push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole away victory this season came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was still Forest manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.
A family member advised me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had much success on the travel this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
This is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
They have got plenty of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.
But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
It is a tough one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
