Performer Rejects Anti-Vax Views After Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Documentary

The "Taken" star has provided his voice to a feature-length documentary that questions the efficacy of vaccines and lauds former government figure RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a bestselling book written by a disgraced researcher, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for allegations that the virus was linked to a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The publication's co-author, a producer, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone figure a known commentator. The producer took to social media hailing Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

A spokesperson for the actor have issued a response firmly refuting implications that he holds anti-vax sentiments.

"Many recognize that misconduct can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be confused with being against vaccines," the comment reads. "Neeson is not, and is not, anti-vax. His extensive work with the UN children's agency reinforces his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response added that the star was not involved in crafting the project's editorial content and that concerns about its content are best addressed to the creators.

Central Claims In the Feature

As presented, the narration provided by Neeson makes several strong claims:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "medical science has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The narration further attacks pandemic restrictions, claiming they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of the immunizations, it references a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "risky trials."

Historical Context and Ongoing Issues

It further cites a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the focus of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.

Recently, RFK Jr directed the national health agency to change its long-held position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This assertion is also referenced in the film, despite a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Statement of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has previously shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he referred to vaccines as "an incredible achievement," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This marks not the finish of our story. It is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
