Similar to bad weather tore through the northern region the night before, Manchester City blew the visitors away at the their home ground. It was a convincing three-nil win for Andrée Jeglertz’s side thanks to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their leadership claims as they consolidated their standing at the WSL pinnacle.
